Southcombe 1 — Southcombe Villas, Widecombe 1920s (left) vs 2020 (right). The left hand side shows the Post Office and Telephone Exchange in Southcombe Villas, Widecombe in an undated photograph. The PO moved from here to what became the Wayside Cafe in 1931 so likely from 1920s. The gentleman standing outside in the snow is auxiliary postman James Beard who would have been 60 in 1921. The slate facing appears to be unchanged in 100 years.
